Andrew is the CEO for Energy and Power Marsh JLT Specialty based in London. In this role, he is responsible for leading the practice‘s strategy of maintaining commercial disciplines and ensuring geographic coordination and harmonisation throughout the practice, making it a leading edge global practice.
Andrew graduated from Cambridge University with a Master of Arts in Chemical Engineering and joined Sedgwick International in 1987 as a property broker specializing in Energy business. He became an Assistant Director in the Sedgwick Energy team on its formation in 1990.
In 1992 Andrew joined Jenner, Fenton Slade as a Director of the non-marine energy division where he specialized in onshore oil and gas and power broking. In 1998 he became a founder member of Agnew Higgins Pickering as a member of the executive committee where he was responsible for placement of the property and liability programs of their energy clients worldwide. In 2007 Andrew joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson as a partner in their Energy division.
In 2010 Andrew joined Marsh as a Managing Director responsible for the Americas in the Energy Practice before taking the role as Practice Leader for the EMEA region in 2012. Andrew also holds an affiliation as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
