Hector is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Insurance, Wealth and Asset Management, and Digital practices. With more than 20 years of experience, Hector specializes in driving strategy centered on cost efficiency and growth, and advises financial services leaders on large-scale enterprise-wide transformation programs.

Hector’s work includes strategic growth, cost restructuring, operating model design, governance, post-merger integration, leadership guidance and organization priority issues. He advises clients across financial services, including insurance, investment management, asset servicing, and investment banking and has led more than 20 large-scale organizational transformations.

I enjoy working alongside clients to help them reset their businesses, improve service quality and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.

Based in New York, Hector’s experience includes driving competitive cost transformation—to designing operating models and executing leading technology architectures that support firms’ future visions.

Before joining Oliver Wyman, Hector was Vice President and Partner with Strategy&, the global strategy consulting team at PwC (formerly Booz & Company), where he drove transformation and operating model design for insurance and wealth and asset management. Prior to this, Hector worked at Capco, where he advised tier-one capital markets clients in planning and executing large global transformation programs. He started his career at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in London and the Private Bank in Geneva.

Hector is an industry expert and author on strategy and has published articles on industry best practices for insurers and investment managers. Hector holds an MBA degree in Business Finance from Brunel University in the United Kingdom. Outside of work, Hector loves to travel, competes in mountain bike events, and enjoys playing rugby.
