Johaan leads our Digital practice in EMEA. He has over twenty years’ experience leading large multidisciplinary digital, operational, technology, and business performance improvement initiatives.
I’m proud to lead an exceptional team made up of deep industry experts, data scientists, designers, and technologists. They never fail to surprise and inspire me with their outstanding creativity, innovation, integrity and values to achieve amazing outcomes for our clients. We all work at Oliver Wyman because we are excited by where this energy and drive will take us and most importantly because we have a lot of fun together on the journey.
Over the last 20 years Johaan has worked with many leading companies on a range of digital, operational, technology, and business performance related initiatives including: new digital business design and launch, technology and operating model transformations, restructuring, operational excellence, data and analytics, and digital strategies.
Outside of Oliver Wyman Johaan has a deep passion for the development of young people and believes to achieve their full potential academic education on its own is not enough. In support of this he has served as a trustee of Young Enterprise since 2017. With what’s left of his time, Johaan keeps himself busy by being extremely competitive at any sport, searching out and collecting the most obscure wines he can find, and spending time with his wife and three children. He is at his happiest when entertaining family and friends, usually over a barbeque, irrespective of the weather!
I believe many industries as well as societies are at a crossroads in their development and are still working through how best to harness the possibilities of the advances in the use of data, analytical techniques and technology. From launching entirely new digitally enabled businesses and customer propositions to mapping brain activity using the latest analytical techniques, or advising governments on cyber threats, or revolutionizing the way we work to massively increase productivity - the diversity and potential is vast.
