Our Work Leading the Change Continues

The following message from President & Chief Executive Officer Dan Glaser was sent today to all Marsh McLennan colleagues.

Dear colleagues,

Last May, following George Floyd’s death and amid the protests that it sparked around the world, I said that change is up to all of us.

We hope that yesterday’s guilty verdict brings some measure of peace and comfort to the Floyd family and everyone affected by his death. But we know that we still have work to do to create real, lasting change.

This is an important moment. It doesn’t erase the long history of racism and social injustice in the US and other parts of the world, but it gives us renewed strength to continue the journey toward creating a more just and compassionate world.

What we do as a company is vital. Marsh McLennan is committed to addressing systemic prejudice and the structural inequalities that enable it. In our offices around the world and in our work with clients we recognize the fundamental principles of human dignity, equality and mutual respect.

Please continue to take care of one another, listen to each other and reach out to your colleagues and those you love.

Let’s use this moment to deepen our commitment to leading the change, together. This is work that we all share.
