Jun 29, 2022

LONDON, June 29, 2022—Dan Glaser, President and CEO of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), the world’s leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy, and people, has urged the (re)insurance industry to empower the next generation of leaders to meet the challenges of the fast-evolving risk landscape.

Speaking ahead of the opening of the Marsh McLennan Rising Professionals’ Global Forum in London, Mr. Glaser said: “Attaining new levels of societal resilience in response to an escalating risk environment will require future leaders to reach new heights for clients and society at large. Commenting on the demand for talent in the context of this risk backdrop, John Doyle, Group President, Chief Operating Officer, said: “When you look at the scale and potential impact of the societal issues being addressed during the Forum, including climate change, cyber risk, and pandemics, the intensity of the risk environment our rising professionals face is considerable. Empowering these individuals and grounding them in the technical capabilities that underpin the insurance marketplace will help them innovate solutions that enable clients to tackle these perils effectively.”

The relationships they forge with market peers and industry leaders will better enable them to successfully navigate through an extraordinarily challenging world for their clients and communities.”
